Frequently Asked Questions

What are your private pay fees?

15-minute consultation – free
First visit – $350
Follow-up visit – $300
If therapy costs are prohibitive, please ask about sliding scale fees.

Do you accept insurance?

I do accept some insurance plans within the state of California including Anthem EAP, Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Quest Behavioral Health, and Blue Shield of California. This list is not exhaustive, please inquire if your plan is not listed.

If you have out-of-network coverage or have an FSA/HSA account through your employer, a portion of my fee is typically reimbursed, once you have met your annual out-of-network deductible. I can provide you with a monthly statement or "superbill" that you can submit to your insurance company to request a partial reimbursement.

Missed or cancelled appointments with less than 48 hours notice are billed at the rate of the services scheduled.

Who is a good fit for your services?

I can only see clients residing in the state of California. Other than that, fit is client dependent. I want to help you find the best therapy match, meaning you feel seen, heard, respected, and understood. If you do not feel that with me, I will work to help you find a therapist who is a good fit for you.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
